Balloon Backdrop  1. This balloon backdrop will provide a proper party-centric setting for your table. To make the backdrop, you will need helium-inflated balloons, ribbon, and tape.  2. Tie the balloons with ribbon, then tape the ends of the ribbon to the floor behind your table. Use a variation of ribbon lengths to give the backdrop a range of height and depth. |
Balloon Centerpiece  1. This centerpiece packs a whole lot of fun, with a very low materials cost (under $3). Head to your local dollar store and grab some small latex balloons, confetti, a glue stick, and one roll of scotch tape.  2. Blow up the balloons between 4 to 7 inches round and knot to close. Use scotch tape to secure the balloons to each other and position the balloons as a garland down the center of the table.  3. Using a glue stick, add some glue to the back of your confetti and adhere the confetti to your balloons. |
Scrapbook Paper Placemats  Forego the cost of typical placemats with these glittery scrapbook paper placemats instead. At any craft or art supply store, purchase some shiny cardstock or scrapbook paper, and use a piece to mark each guest’s seat at the table. |
Edible Plate Sparkle  1. Adding a temporary sparkle to your food plates is easy AND edible! At a craft or party supply store, look for edible spray and/or edible glitter in the dessert aisle.  2. For the spray, simply just spray around the edge of your plate, following the specific instructions provided on the bottle.  3. If you’re using the glitter powder, mix with a couple drops of water and apply around the plate with a food-safe paintbrush. |
Shiny Champagne Glasses  1. With some shiny dollar-store confetti and a glue stick, you can add a temporary sparkle to your drinking glasses too!
2. Add a dab of glue to the backside of your confetti and position the confetti around the outside of each glass. Once the dinner’s over, just pull off the confetti pieces and wash the glasses in warm water to remove the glue. 3. Add some gold or silver shredded foil to each glass for extra shine. |
Treat Rolls  1. These fun break-apart treats add an extra element of sparkle, with an added level of sweet to each place setting. To make them, you’ll need a recycled toilet paper roll (or heavy cardstock), mylar paper, scotch tape, ribbon, and some treats for the filling (candy, confetti, etc.).  2. Fill the inside of your roll with the treats, and then wrap the roll in mylar.  3. Tape the mylar paper and tie ribbon around the two edges to close the roll. |
Misc. Table Décor  Fun finds like confetti, mylar paper, and miniature disco balls can easily jazz-up the center of your party table. Get creative and look around your house for shiny objects before heading out to the dollar store. |
