Samsung Galaxy S10 Specs: All the Details You Need to Know

Two friends on hood of car, taking picture with Samsung Galaxy S10Sorry, Siri, but the Galaxy S10 and S10+ — the latest iterations of Samsung’s flagship smartphone — are finally here. And they’re stunning.

Sized Right

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is big enough to do what you want it to do but small enough to fit in your pocket: it comes in at 6.1 inches. Not to be outdone in the size department, its larger sibling, the Galaxy S10+, is bringing 6.4 inches of smartphone greatness to the party.

Lookin’ Good

Both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ feature Samsung’s Infinity-O display. Here’s why that’s notable: the Infinity-O display spreads across the entire front of the camera, interrupted only by one of the slightest bezels on the market and a hole punched out for the camera. Everything else is pure dazzling display.

Say “Cheese!”

Long gone are the days when you had to carry around a separate camera to capture great shots. The Galaxy S10 and the S10+ sport three rear camera lenses for an array of nice shots that no Kodak camera could ever match:

  • 16-megapixel (ultra wide)
  • 12-megapixel (wide-angle)
  • 12-megapixel (telephoto)

If you want all of those photos readily available, the Galaxy S10 offers up to 512GB of internal storage, expandable by an additional 512 GB via a MicroSD slot. The Galaxy S10+, meanwhile, offers a whopping 1TB of internal storage.

Light at Night

Shooting in a dark environment? Artificial intelligence (AI) to the rescue! The Galaxy S10’s “Shot Suggestions” feature activates AI to help you get the most out of the images you capture in low-light settings. Some pundits think this means the Night Sight feature on Google’s Pixel devices is in for some competition. Which is notable, considering that techie website TheVerge.com called Night Sight “a vast, monumental upgrade to the nighttime photography you used to know.”

Secretly Secure

Here’s something that’ll catch the interest of your inner secret agent: the Galaxy S10 and S10+ include an on-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Such a feature helps prevent unauthorized users from accessing your phone and makes it even easier to unlock it yourself. All you have to do is put your finger on the display!

Family Fun

Samsung didn’t leave all the fun to the Galaxy S10 and S10+; it also unveiled the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 5G.

  • The Galaxy S10e comes in smaller than the S10 at 5.8 inches. But while it lacks some of the compelling features of the S10 and S10+, it still packs a great big smartphone punch.
  • The Galaxy S10 5G is a “holy cow this thing is enormous!” 6.7 inches. As its name indicates, this model supports the blazing internet speeds of the 5G wireless standard soon to take over the world.
