Life Hacks Vol. 2: How to Clean a Cookie Sheet and More

Need some tips to make your life easier? Life hacks to the rescue! Learn to clean a cookie sheet, organize your car, keep wrapping paper free of wrinkles, store your boots, and more you probably haven’t thought of.

Organize Your Ride
Keeping your car organized can be a chore, particularly if you have little ones riding along. Attach a shoe organizer to the backseat to keep books, movies, toys, treats, and sunglasses off the floor but easy to find.

Keep Wrapping Paper Wrinkle Free
Wrapping paper tears and unravels so easily that most people wind up wasting as much as they use when trying to dress up a gift. Rather than using a piece of tape to keep the loose edge of wrapping paper in place, try a toilet tissue or paper towel roll. Simply cut in a straight line down the length of the roll, then slide it over the wrapping paper for a perfect cinch every time.

Clean a Cookie Sheet or a Pan
Even if a cookie sheet or pan is dishwasher safe, it usually doesn’t come out clean (or worse, it rusts.) To get it clean every time, sprinkle it with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then wipe it clean with a sponge.

Keep Crayons Contained Cheaply
If your kids love arts and crafts, then you most likely have a lot of crayons, markers, and pencils. Use plastic berry containers to keep things organized — and easy to see.

Get Boots to Stand Upright
Use empty wine bottles to keep tall boots standing up straight and reduce creases in the leather. Simply slide the bottle into the shaft of the boot, and voilà!
