A scrapbook is a crafty, fun-filled activity for children—and a great way to save all the reminders of the sun-filled days of summer. Here are six scrapbook ideas kids can use to make their memories extra special.
Contact Sheets
Instead of worrying about perfectly preserving each photo in your child’s scrapbook, ask for a second set of photos when printing them at a store. Make sure to save the contact sheet that gets included at the beginning of the packaged printed photos. Kids will love being able to include the miniature film-strip versions of their summer prints in their scrapbooks.
Clear Plastic Bags
For a messy or delicate souvenir—such as sand from a beach trip to the beach — place the memento in a small, clear plastic bag. Kids can use markers to decorate the bag. Once the bag is closed, secure it to the scrapbook page with colorful tape.
Brochures
Most brochures are pretty large, but you can help your child shrink a brochure to smaller sizes with the help of a photocopy machine. Just copy, fold, and paste.
Pressed Leaves and Flowers

To create a fun background for a scrapbook page, use a large tourist or travel map. Help your child carefully cut the map to the size of the scrapbook paper and glue it to the page using a glue stick.
